Your adventure

Now that you have decided your next hiking trip adventure, all you need to do is fill out the registration form, make the payment and prepare yourself for a life experience. It is essential to fill out each item accurately in order for us to have all the necessary information to organise your experience. Once we receive the registration form, we will send you the detailed program of the trip. We will then notify you (by March 30th) when the required number of 4 participants will be reached and therefore definitely confirm the trip. If you have any doubts while booking your trip, do not hesitate to contact us.

Attention

If it is the first time that you intend to participate in our activities or you have already done so in the past but only once, we invite you to fill out our online Excursion Questionnaire. This tool enables us to define your excursion level and your physical form, so we can tell you if the hiking/tour chosen is suitable for you or not (filling out the Questionnaire is mandatory). The link to the questionnaire will appear on the page where the booking occurred.

PAYMENT

A down payment is required (the amount depends on which hike/tour is chosen) per person when trip confirmation is given following the achievement of 4 participants. Our hikes/tours are offered exclusively to AVM Trekking Members but if you are not a member yet, we will send you the registration form to become one (the registration fee is always included in the hike/tour chosen fee).

Payment method details are indicated below. Once we receive your down payment, we will confirm your trip and send you all the information and documentation regarding the hike/tour chosen by you. The payment balance (when down payment is required) is due by the date indicated in the hike/tour chosen. This will be before the start of the hike/tour chosen and we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, withholding the down payment, if we do not receive the balance before the indicated deadline.

A bank transfer must be done for the down payment as well as balance. Once the trip is confirmed, we will send you the bank details needed to make the transfer.

**IMPORTANT** Basic rules of group excursions with a Guide In principle, participants must always be preceded by the Guide. In case someone needs to stop, it must always be communicated to the guide. Never advance the guide or the group or leave on your own or go onto other paths without notifying the guide (who may not even authorise such a change for safety reasons). In any case, whatever decision taken by the participant without notifying the Guide or not getting the Guide's approval is beyond the responsibility of the Guide and the participant assumes all responsibility in this regard. Finally, common sense rule: out of respect for all the participants and the Guide, remember that accepting to participate in a group excursion, means accepting the times and the ways in which the excursion is conducted. Sometimes it is different than when going alone or with a small group of people. During AVM Trekking's excursions, there is no running and therefore you can enjoy the wonders in which you are immersed in and can walk stress free. This brings on a healthy state of mind and body and interesting people socialise with one another regarding similar passions (for example, hiking, mountain, nature, travel). Scale of hiking difficulties To understand if the excursion is suitable for you, this is the difficulty scale of our excursions: T (Tourist) - walk on dirt roads and wide paths with modest slopes, differences in height of less than 300 metres and total length of less than 10 km. E (Excursion) - simple excursion but requires a good physical shape without having to be an athlete. Trails on dirt roads, wide paths with small slopes but also more articulated mountain paths with slightly greater slopes. Differences in height between 300 and 600 metres. Total length between 10 and 15 km. EE (Expert Hiker) - excursions for the more experienced with training. However, the technical difficulties of these excursions are never excessive (possible short stretches exposed with chains, steep paths, traces of trails, short stretches of first level rocks, possible crossings of snowfields) but you must have good hiking experience and a good training. At times, slopes are sustained. Differences in height above 600 metres. Total length even beyond 15 km. MC (Medium Snowshoer) - excursions in a snowy environment with snowshoes. Paths that are mostly flat or with very little slopes. Steep slopes in the vicinity. Differences in height between 300 and 600 metres. Total length up to 10 km. BC (Good Snowshoer) - excursions in a snowy environment with snowshoes. Paths with little or moderate slopes. Short steep passages. Differences in height between 600 and 1000 metres. Total length up to 15 km.
